Jane Remover US

Pop / Alternative / Electronic / Hyperpop / Escape Room / Glitchcore
Bound to no single sound while exploring many, Jane Remover makes hyperpop that can be frenetic and damaged or beautifully lush depending on her mood. After producing an array of releases in multiple styles and under many different aliases, the vocalist/producer/songwriter broke through to a new level of acclaim with her 2021 debut full-length Frailty. Remover returned in 2023 with the more sophisticated, dusty shoegaze sounds of sophomore album Census Designated. Jane Remover was born and raised in New Jersey, developing an interest in music creation as early as age eight. After experimenting with dubstep, EDM, SoundCloud rap, and other styles under various aliases, she settled on the moniker Dltzk for her increasingly rambunctious hyperpop productions, and released the EP Teen Week under this banner in February of 2021. Her debut full-length Frailty followed several months later, and both the album and preceding EP were met with critical praise. In June of 2022, Remover announced she would be retiring the name Dltzk. Previous works released under that name were rebranded as Jane Remover releases, and she reworked Teen Week into a new form that took out some songs she’d grown uncomfortable with. In 2023, her second full-length, Census Designated, arrived, this time delving into nostalgic bedroom pop and vocoded singing performances with undertones of dream pop and shoegaze. ~ TiVo Staff
